A bit about me...

I was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, and grew up and still live in Connecticut. I must have been partly raised by insects, because the first things I remember drawing were beetles and little ant wars with oddly sentimental moments. Bugs came first, then animals, then strange creatures. I lovingly blame the Smurfs. And now, robots. It feels fitting that an early obsession with bugs eventually led me to love robots and place them in peculiar situations together.
At my core, I’m a character designer, and that’s where my work is most alive. These days I spend far more time building characters than illustrating full scenes, though I still love expanding those characters into narrative moments and larger worlds. My creativity also wanders beyond the screen, through pencil, pen, paint, sculpture, and writing, always looking for new ways to tell stories and build little pockets of wonder.
My work leans into curiosity and whimsy. I love creating characters in fantastical settings, capturing moments that spark imagination and invite stories to unfold. My favorite images are the ones that make you pause and think, “What in the…?” and then, inevitably, “What’s their deal?” I’m fortunate to be easily entertained by my own ideas, and I spend a lot of time in blissful solitude, sketching weird concepts and cracking myself up along the way.
The real magic for me is creating work that captivates and transports, offering a space where viewers can linger, explore, and dream. That same spark guides the character design and visual development
